One thing I’ve liked about the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies is their mixture of action and wit. One of the more serious characters Thor shows us that he too has a funny side. Those that watched Dr. Strange may have noticed the scene at the end with Strange and Thor having a discussion.
Where was the Norse god during the events of Captain America: Civil War? The clip below will explain…
So what is Thor: Ragnarok all about?
After the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor, held captive on the planet Sakaar without his hammer, must win a gladiatorial duel against an old friend — The Hulk — in order to return to Asgard in time to stop the villainous Hela and the impending Ragnarök, the doom of the Asgardian civilization.
SPOILER ALERT: The scene I kept repeating was when Thor realized he would be fighting The Hulk and he jumps for joy and goes, “We know each other! He’s a friend from work!”. Since these two were the only missing links stopping Captain America: Civil War into another Avengers movie it sure is good to see them in action again.
Mjolnir (Thor’s hammer) sees it’s demise at the hand (literally) of Hela (The movie’s villain played by Cate Blanchett).
Also of interest is that Thor gets a haircut ala Spartacus. Don’t even get me started on the arena irony. He also gets a helmet similar to the one he wears in the animated forms of Thor.
November 3rd 2017, we will get the most explosive and entertaining Thor movie yet.
