During my daily YouTube surfing today I bumped into this empowering track by P-Square simply titled, “Nobody Ugly”. I could write a whole book about this track but let me say a few things concerning the concept below.
This track actually reminds me of an article I did some time back about complexion. Regardless of whether you are light-skinned or dark-skinned, slender or thick there does not exist any one form of beauty.
Thank you Peter and Paul for such a track that reminds the ladies that they are beautiful in all their various shades and forms. I also liked the social media concept that they implemented on the video.
This also involves not being around people that constantly bring you down and lower your self-esteem. As the saying goes, “when you feel good, you do good”. There’s also a point that some reach with social media where they feel that they have to “fake it” for likes but in the immortal words of DJ Khaled, don’t ever play yourself.
At the end of the day, the filters, the the makeup, the artificial hair should not define and it should not be your ultimate goal to please others. Above everything loving yourself first is what matters most.
NB: DO NOT BE ADDICTED TO SOCIAL MEDIA LIKES
Released yesterday but already sitting at over 600K+ views this is testament that good music will resonate with people dispute cultural differences. I’m from Zimbabwe and I fully endorse it.
