Theirs is a story that may seem like it comes from a movie script but love them or hate them you definitely can’t ignore them. This is the Atlanta trio Migos
Growing up together is a privilege they have, but that’s not the least of it. They are related; Quavo being TakeOff‘s cousin and Offset‘s uncle, so the group is made up of two cousins, two uncles and one nephew. So apparently coolness runs in their DNA.
Track back to 2013, when the trio released their breakthrough hit, “Versace”. The track got so big that Drake jumped on the remix and it created a rap style that was mimicked by many a hip-hop artist. Yes that relentless triplet ba-da-da, ba-da-da flow that is currently used by rappers both mainstream and underground.
Let’s not forget the famous dance of this past year, the DAB! Yes it was Migos who popularized that too, with their 2015 single, “Look At My Dab”.
They had been bubbling under until their first #1 single, “Bad & Boujee”Bon Apetit, Lil Yachty’s Peek-A-BooEven Donald Glover made reference to Bad & Boujee as the “best song ever” during his Golden Globe acceptance speech.

Their album C U L T U R E dropped, followed by a string of videos. It’s no surprise that their album was certified platinum only three months after release. Everything they are on seems to turn gold, or platinum, depending on your preference.
Simplicity and easy-going is key as Migos have made evident.
This is the year of the MIGOS!
