My best purchase of the year has to be my Sony on-ear headphones. I had been procrastinating buying them for over a year for in January I had to do the smart thing and stop procrastinating. Those that know me know I’m an audiophile and sound clarity is important to me. I was NOT disappointed with this purchase. For the nerds the model is Sony MDR-ZX660.
The first thing I love about these headphones is that they have a flat cable, which I don’t have to worry about getting tangled up when they are not in use.
The ear pads are well-cushioned to fit ears snugly and do not threaten to suck your eardrums out of your ears. You can wear them for hours on end without discomfort.
For those that prefer listening to music on their mobile phones there’s a remote button on the cable with an electret condenser mouthpiece and a button that can be used for answering calls. The button can also be used to pause and play media too.
What use is the build if the sound is trash, right? The sound does not disappoint. While it’s not Beats by Dre type of sound but it well above average sound, a bonus if you’re used to earphones.
It provides a high range of sound that is crisp. I even discovered some new sounds on my favourite songs, which I did not know existed before.
Only way to go up from here and my headphones have become a fashion accessory of mine. You would be hard-pressed to see me without them, well, because music and podcasts are life.
